Another dodgy competition with dodgy judges - Handango Partner Summit July 12, 2005; 'Best Application for Play' for Symbian OS UIQ. Selected also by people who don't use Symbian phones at all.. Concrete Software Announces It Is Named Champion Award Winner at Handango Partner Summit Today Concrete Software announced that Aces Texas Hold'em - No Limit poker game won the 2005 Handango Champion Award's 'Best Application for Play' for Symbian OS UIQ. Judged by a panel of industry experts and media, the award was presented at the Handango Partner Summit in Miami, Florida. Sponsored by Microsoft, Nokia and Sony Ericsson, the event was hosted on the luxurious Sir Winston yacht. While watching the Miami city lights in the dusk and the setting sun over Biscayne Bay, participants started the evening with an elegant dinner followed by an entertaining awards presentation. "I would like to congratulate this year's Champion Award winners and applaud their successes," said Randy Eisenman, president and chief executive officer of Handango. "The title 'Handango Champion Award Winner' is quite an honor, as finalists and winners are nominated by customers and chosen by some of the best minds in the mobile content industry." As a Handango Champion Award recipient, Concrete Software will receive a prize package that includes a $5,000 marketing stipend, placement in a special edition of the Handango Champion Newsletter and a variety of additional promotional opportunities. "To be nominated by our customers and chosen by the mobile industry experts is a great honor for us and is a tribute to all of the hard work we've done to make Aces Texas Hold'em - No Limit an award winning game," said Keith Pichelman, chief executive officer of Concrete Software.
