According to Patrick Parodi, MEF Chair and SVP Sales and Marketing World Wide PacketVideo Network Solutions, (an Alcatel Subsidiary): “The MEF has become the legitimate voice for mobile entertainment and has been at the forefront of vital issues tied to the healthy growth of the Mobile Entertainment industry. This included launching the first ever official ring tone chart, establishing an industry-wide Code of Conduct for mobile subscription services and representing the industry view on the MPEG LA licensing proposal – a highly controversial issue for media companies, operators and handset makers alike.”

According to Carolynne Schloeder, MEF-Americas Co Vice Chair and President of leading aggregator, Moderati: “Our industry is at an exciting growth stage with wide market acceptance and fast-paced technology advances changing the industry dynamics and affecting all stakeholders in the mobile business virtually every day. The MEF is the only forum to specifically address issues in mobile entertainment, its revenue generation and copyright use.”

The MEF Americas secretariat is based in Los Angeles.
