Samsung overtakes Motorola in cell phone industry !
December 01, 2004;
The biggest cell phone vendors are now: 1. Nokia 2. Samsung 3. Motorola . We have seen it coming!

In third quearter of 2004 Samsung has sold 22.9 million cell phones what amounts to 13.8 % of the markt. Motorola sold in the same period 22.4 mllion phones what amounts to 13.4 % and Nokia still is market leader with 30.9 %. Number 4 is Siemens with 7.6 %. Nokia's share is falling, last year it was 30.9 % and it is possible that it is only a question of time till Nokia will be overtaken by Samsung.

Nokia refuses to use non-Symbian software in smartphones and PDA phones but Samsung has no such limitation - it produces also smartphones powered by Microsoft Software. This bullheaded approach of Nokia to Microsoft may ultimately end with decline of Nokia.
