Jataayu Software set to launch jIM-An Instant Messaging Client for mobile terminals at CTIA WIRELESS I.T 2004

Jataayu makes MMS client that Microsoft embeds in Microsoft Smartphone but they do wireless software also for other platforms.

Jataayu Software, a leading provider of mobile terminal software for mobile carriers, device manufacturers, reference design vendors and ODMs announced the launch of their jIM client, a Wireless Village compliant IMPS (Instant Messaging and Presence Services) Client on multiple platforms.

Instant Messaging is poised for phenomenal growth with the extension of instant messaging from the web to mobile devices. According to a report from the Radicati Group It is estimated that 1 trillion instant messages will be sent in a day by the year 2007. Presence information, coupled with the simplicity of plain messaging, leads to additional revenue generating possibilities for carriers.

The Jataayu IM Client is compliant with the OMA-Wireless Village 1.2 specifications and has been tested for interoperability with some leading standards based IMPS Servers. The jIM Client is highly interoperable, portable and customizable with options for specific customer branding and support for multiple IM communities. The jIM Client combines the benefits of Messaging, Presence & Buddy Lists, Groups and Community building.

Jataayu has implemented WAP 2.0 browsers, MMS Client solutions for Sierra Wireless, TTPCOM, IXI, Ubinetics, Microsoft, Infineon, APSI, GST, HTC and Vodafone amongst other clients. The Jataayu terminal side solutions include the WAP 2.0 browser, MMS client, OTA Client and the IMPS client.
