The Java Challenge - Rise to the challenge – DEADLINE EXTENDED to mid August
July 29, 2004;
Orange may be famous from being the first operator that released Microsoft Smartphone, but in reality Orange supports all platforms, also Java and Palm OS and even cooperates with Nokia, as this story proves...

If you're a developer versed in Java, there's no better time to submit your latest innovative application for the Java Challenge competition. Because now you have until the 15 August to enter for the chance to win full technical support, testing and potential fast-track entry into the Orange product catalogue!

Devised jointly by Orange and Nokia, the Java Challenge invites you to create applications for use on a Nokia device over the Java operating system.

Shortlisted entries will be invited to attend three-day developer event in France - Code Camp – 13-15 September, where they will receive on-site testing assistance from Nokia and Orange, together with individual feedback on their specific applications and access to Java-enabled terminals and Orange GPRS SIM cards.
