Orange Location API April 15, 2004; those Brits have it good: location API for cell phones Being able to locate a mobile phone user can help businesses in many ways – from remote worker management and asset tracking, to providing local service information. Orange Location API lets application developers do just that – creating innovative and enhanced business services. This web services platform enables applications to quickly and accurately track down any Orange mobile phone user - subject to their permission. It does this in three steps: 1. Service applications call the Orange API to request location information for a mobile phone number. 2. The Orange systems return the location information relating to that number. 3. This information can then be used within the service application. In this way, businesses can benefit from improved decision-making, tighter security and higher safety levels. Developers also have access to our dedicated support team and a Test Bed System to trial applications before going live. For more info click here. Back to other news index |
