Thanks to growing ODM orders, BenQ Corp. has top in DVD drives and mobile phone shipments, according to the BenQ’s Imaging Network Business Group general manager William Wang. Another number one held by BenQ is in mobile phone shipments with total 4.1 million units in the first quarter and March's shipment reached 1.5 million units. Two main reason of high output in first quarter were the Motorola's low-end C 200 series mobile phones and its own branding in China's market. BenQ also forecast its second quarter shipment of mobile phone will remain high to 1.5 million units with Motorola continue to ship the C series models. Not farther behind is Ariman with total shipment of 3.0 million mobile phones in the first quarter. Both Compal and Quanta saw their first quarter mobile phones shipment decline.
