CeBIT 2008: first-hand reports March 05, 2008 [General] | By Edward J. R. We just have dropped by to CeBIT 2008 trade show to bring you first-hand reports about Windows Mobile phones. Since this huge (3 times bigger than CES) tradeshow only marginally is devoted to mobile phones (one hall out of 28) we visited it only for short time, so we didn't have time to take photos of booth babes like this one:
... particularly because the most luscious booth babes, including models, were located anyway in remote (CeBIT area is huge and there are even 3 bus lines inside of it) halls devoted to photography and electronic equipment for cars. This year CeBIT was opened both by Chancellor of Germany (the woman in red) and President of France (the guy in left-down corner), but CEO of Microsoft (the guy in the left-middle) and EU Commission Leader (the guy in top-left corner) were also present at the opening ceremony:
CeBIT in first place is a German trade show (covering so called DACH = D denoting Germany, A denoting Austria and CH denoting Switzerland) and then it is European but it is also global to big extend because around 3 thousand of companies from Asia alone are exhibiting at it. Main theme of CeBIT 2009 were green products, i.e. energy saving techonologies - as if it would make any difference to global warming whether your quad-core gaming PC uses 10 W less of power or whether your HD TV is using any energy at all in stand-by mode. Clearly Europeans worry more about green technologies and preservation of natural environment than about preservation of jobs ... but this is entirely different fairytale. Anyways most mobile phone related stands were located in hall 26 that was located to the right side of the red oblong Vodafone pavilion:
... and we have paid a visit to stands of several companies exhibiting there Windows Mobile phones. Stay tuned for our first-hand reports from these Windows Mobile related stands!
