At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, we received an exclusive demonstration of Opera 9.5, by far the most popular third party browser for Windows Mobile smartphones. The new version represents a substantial improvement over earlier ones, with display capabilities similar to the iPhone but a number of much more advanced navigation and bookmarking features.

Previously only official videos of this application were available. It has not been commercially released yet. However, the developer has recently made the browser available to carriers for implementation, and was able to give us an in-person demonstration. We tried it on a number of smartphones and found it superior in almost all respects to other browsers currently available.
