SmartHiker for Microsoft Smartphone released April 20, 2005 [MS Smartphone] | By Edward J. R. If you have Microsoft Smartphone and a Bluetooth GPS receiver, then this program can make your hiking experience more pleasant... Smarthiker is a Global Positioning System (GPS) software application for the Microsoft Smartphone especially for walkers, hikers and mountineers. It shows the following information using a bluetooth GPS unit: Current Lat / Long Current OSGB Grid reference (UK only) Current Speed Current Direction of Travel Average Speed This is currently in beta release and tested on Orange c500 windows mobile 2003 SE using a TomTom Bluetooth GPS unit but should work fine with magalen, garmin gps units also and probably all of the available smartphones running windows mobile. To install copy both .cab files below to anywhere on your phone, then navigate to the directory you saved them to using your phone and click on each cab file to install.
