Life is too short to squander it with buying Symbian powered cellphones like Nokia or Sony Ericsson. We are not talking here about ideology or some partiality. 
The fact of the matter is that by buying Pocket PC Phone Edition powered cell phone you are gaining access to a certain killer application -like Internet service, that is completely not available for Symbian phones! Symbian fans will not tell you this, but here you can learn the truth... First of all let us notice that we have 21st century: 
... and for owners of Pocket PC phones the future is NOW! Symbian users still live in past and have to cope with inferior technologies and lack of access to one essential thing that lately has become a reality for Pocket PC PDAs and phones: easy to use, COMPLETELY FREE, Voice over IP with crystal clear voice quality. Some people and companies bring out something astonishing: disruptive technologies, i.e. such products or services that constitute breakthrough and force whole industry in given area to rethink their business models and sometimes their sheer existence. Some examples of such disruptive technologies are for example: Google corporation and Podcasting. Another example is Skype, that revolutionalized Voice over IP also known as "Internet telephony"! By now Voice over IP software and services were very complicated to configure and offered low quality of such Internet phone calls. Not so in Skype. In fact Skype offers the same simplicity of usage as if you would use any simple messenger service (like MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Jabber, etc) and amazingly usually (i.e. if you have ADSL connection or better) it offers much better quality of phone calls then regular phone lines! Our point is simple: there is Skype client for Pocket PC PDAs and Pocket PC Phone Edition cellhones, but there is no Skype client for Symbian phones! It has something to do with the fact that only very few Symbian phones support Wi-Fi while all Pocket PC phones support Wi-Fi. In fact Skype can run on Windows PC, Mac OS X and on Linux. But as far as mobile devices are concerned: only Pocket PC ! In fact there are now 3 models of Pocket PC cellphones on the market that already have built-in Wi-Fi plus many many models of Pocket PC PDAs with built-in Wi-Fi, but apart from that each other Pocket PC with SDIO card slot can be upgraded with SDIO Wi-Fi card and thus make Skype possible without any hassle! At last: the proof is clear: Symbian offers much less to end users, than Pocket PC phones and PDAs. There can be no doubts about it. Not anymore. There is no Skype client for Symbian and Symbian is unfit for Internet telephony, unfit for 21st century. Below we present some screen shots from Skype for Pocket PC to give you impression how easy and powerful this service is... please note: apart from FREE calling to another users of Skype you can call from Skype also regular phone numbers with a minimal fee. Skype is also planing - to be released soon - extensions to their service: video telephony and voice mail box services... and it is worth mentioning that Skype has also built-in messenger feature (as well as hundreds of other amazing features), so actually by having Skype on your computer or on your Pocket PC you don't need other messenger services very much then...
