im looking to send sms through an application build with asp/asp.net which is hosted on my own servers without paying a service like simplewire.com or clickatell.com a per sms fee. can i buy a sms modem or somthing that sends messages from my servers? do i have to have a contract with another gateway or service provider? email anihimous@hotmail.com thank you!

Answer: Particular operators offer direct access to SMS centers but you need dedicated data line (not Internet) and usually it is offered only operator. But if you think that you can get it for free - that you will be able to send SMS messages in this way for free - you are totall wrong! You will never be able to do that.
